Exhibition of Kalevala Jewelry and Lapponia Jewelry design pieces from the 60’s and 70’s

Jewelry design exhibition at the Kalevala Jewelry Flagship Store Esplanadi in Helsinki is open from 5th to 17th September. Spectacular archive pieces from both Kalevala Jewelry and Lapponia Jewelry from the 60’s and 70’s are displayed, including rings, necklaces and bracelets from previous collections.

Kalevala Jewelry’s designers Eero Rislakki, Börje Rajalin and Paula Häiväoja designed  simple and bold jewelry which made Kalevala Jewelry one of the most known design companies in Finland in the 50s and 60s.

The story of Lapponia Jewelry begun with two courageous men – entrepreneur and visionary Pekka Anttila and Björn Weckström, nowadays a world famous designer and artist. Together, in the 1960s, these men achieved global recognition with the typical sculptural design of Lapponia. Later, the amount of designers and collections increased.

The exhibition is open from the 5th to 17th September. The Venue is located at Kalevala Koru Esplanadi, Pohjoisesplanadi 25-27.
